When I design a logo, I put in research and ask the questions to get you the exact design that matches your endeavor and will work with you till it's perfect.     PROJECT: SIMPLE BUT DIFFERENT

    CLIENT: GENERIC/MULTIPLE

    Fearing the concept relation of Back in Black, this logo goes in a more traditional stacked format with a painterly swoosh to provide anchoring and contrast. Additionally, most Black Friday advertising plays on traditional holiday colors - and more specifically black and red - so this design puls in an unexpected lime green.

    The request for this logo was to make it ultra clean and readable. They also requested it feel "science-y" like other biomedical companies they compete with. The result is a simple and clean B icon and typeface that works in both stacked and horzontal orientations and gives the flexibility to use the icon on its own.

    This design for a moving box and storage solution company features a cute monster, reminiscent of Monsters, Inc. The client requested bright but "non-traditional monster colors" like blue and green and wanted the flexibility to use the monster or text on it's own or paired.

    Butler's Cabin was a small bar & grill located in the clubhouse of Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker, MN. The logo was designed to be upscale yet northwoods homey and inviting.

    In past years, Camp Stanislaus has given it's campers a fairly plain shirt to commemorate the camping season. For 2021, they decided to flip the script and create a new logo for use on apparel and promotional materials that better represents all the things campers might do during their stay. Utilizing iconography mixed into a bold outlined font, the outdoor activities come to life.

    Candice's team requested a script logo that conveyed a feeling of connection, sincerity, and sprituality. The subtle butterfly icon represents the rebirth or growth of a business that she consults with. Additionally, they requested related iconography to be used in other promotional materials where space may be more limited.

    This proposed logo for CBD Holistics plays more on the holistic aspect than the CBD with the leaf icon taking on more of a lotus flower look than a traditional marijuana plant aesthetic. The colors are cool and calming yet dramtic in design an layout.

    Eliksa, a biomedical company researching stem cell therapies, was in need of a new logo. They wanted soemthing recognizable and clear to read from a distance, but not the same old-same old plain typefaces you see on many other biomedical logos.

    Epic Beer Festival was on the hunt for a new logo. My concept takes the E and blanaces it on edge to resemble a tipping beer mug. Sure, spilled beer may be a party foul to some, but in this case it makes for an epic logo.

    In this logo request, the client wanted a logo that was modern and conveyed both aspects of their name. The integrated golfball and flame works both with the text and as a stand alone icon, giving more flexiblity to the brand and a wider range of recognition.

While in the primary state it is bright colors, the logo is flexible enough to be shown in a single color pallet or outline benefiting any client's design & production needs.

    A wood crafter in Montana requested a new logo that was Norse mythology inspired. The interlocking knot - similar to Celtic lore - is the focal point, while the name and location are separated by Thor's hammer's. The logo is unmistakable in flat print and stunning as a wood brand or laser etch.

    The Red Hot Winter Sales Event logo plays on the timeless dichotomoty of hot vs cold. The simple text based logo hints at hot with a flame accent, leaving the rest of the logo readable and not over-designed.

    As part of an internal team bonding competition, this logo was designed for one of the teams at a local PNC Bank branch in Dayton, OH. The request was for something that looked like a sports or even EMS type of patch and played on the concept of rescuing customer that were in financial need.

    Halloween sales are a big deal in many commerce segments. This sales event logo plays up the creepiness of bats and plays on the black and neon green often found in the Halloween season.

    Silver colt requested a play on the S and a horse as a primary icon. They also wanted something that was heavily sports inspired, having provided many professional sports logos as concepts they liked.

    The project description for this sales event logo was to take inspiration from the James Bond movies, and Skyfall in particular. The thin font weight makes this a perfect logo for a higher end client or one with a very clean aesthetic.

    Volcube, a new defunct financial advising and trading firm, wanted a bold new look for their brand to attract younger clients. While retaining the neon/lime green that had become their signature, they wanted a look that was both techy and fun, with a slight hint of popular skate brands.

    Zygnum, a computer tech firm, wanted a clean logo that felt very modern with a ligth tech flair. In this design, I used the Z in their name to create an interlocking icon with data points locked up with a wide spread san serif font.

    CLIENT: STEEL CITY BRIDGECHECKERS

    For this logo design, the client wanted a logo that screamed city of bridges. Initally proposing a sketch of a classic Pittsburgh bridge and crossed hockey sticks, I was able to come up with this round design that fit better on a jersey. The client also wanted something that blended the 1967 Pittsburgh Penguins jerseys with the current Blakc and Gold, but still had the baby blue as a primary color. The result is this slick retro hybrid.

    CLIENT: THREE RIVERS MUDCATS

    A new women's travel hockey team wanted a look that represented the Pittsburgh area but was different than all the other teams past and present. Currently, the most common color scheme is black and gold. To accomplish this design, the name Three Rivers was used instead of the usual Pittsburgh or Steel City monikers and the team is represented by a Mudcat - a common catfish in the Mon, Allegheny, and Ohio rivers. The colors are the antithesis of Pittsburgh (Philly Flyers colors) while the underlying plaid is just plain fun.

    CLIENT: BINNIE'S SKATE SHARPENING & EQUIPMENT REPAIR

    Binnie's wanted a logo and accompanying digital campaign to generate leads and inform customers about proper skate sharpening hollow and profiles. From this, the #KnowYourEdges logo was born. The primary logo played off the round Binnie's logo and was used in most marketing material. A secondary logo was developed for apparel purposes and illustrated each individual hollow available.
